Pre-order – out January 22

Born into a veritable musical dynasty, with his father and brother (respectively Mick Jones of Foreigner and Mark Ronson) as distinguished contributors to the pop music landscape since the 1970s, Alexander Dexter Jones began making music early on, writing his first song at age four and DJing at 13. But despite his precociousness, he chose to take time before releasing music of his own. As of nowadays he’s interested in, through his songs, making out the mystery of who he is.

In "Bronze Age Woman", ADJ investigates the mystery by way of the mythology surrounding the ancient Greek medicinal sorceress Medea. His voice, gravelly and resonant, offers a retelling of her story. Combining songwriting influences from the likes of the folk singer Judee Sill, and with contributions from Yves Tumor, Baba Stiltz, Ariel Pink, and Lucien Krampf, "Bronze Age Woman" assembles sensibilities ranging from glam rock, to orchestral, to lofi, to punk, to funk. Pounding rhythms, fuzzy guitar riffs, choral-like vocalizations, scintillating synths, lush production: it’s a concoction – a pharmakon, so to speak – that summons you to shake your head and get on your feet.
